Welcome! Bible study is a wonderful way to grow in your faith, and make new friends in the parish. If you are not a member of our parish, you are very welcome to join our study.
Where and When: Bible Study meets on Tuesdays; there are 2 sessions and participants choose either the AM or PM session. The AM session begins at 9:10 am after the daily mass, and the evening session begins at 7:15 pm. Both sessions cover the same material and are held in Our Lady Queen of Peace Hall. There is no cost to the bible study, other than a book or workbook depending on the series we are currently studying.
Our Current Series: Our next Bible study will begin on February 1st, 2022. Our new series is entitled “Exodus: Call to Freedom."
When God called Israel out of slavery in Egypt into a life of freedom as his people, it was a defining moment in Israel’s history. This study looks through the lens of Christ and the church to show that, rather than just to seeking to free his people from the domination of pharaoh, God desired to free his people from the far more dangerous grip of sin. Presenter Tim Gray explains how the Exodus story is not just Israel's story but our story as well, because it reveals who God is and what he calls us to be. Discover the divine purpose behind the plagues on Egypt and how God‘s law reflects his love and concern. Learn the keys to authentic freedom and how a proper understanding of Exodus can illuminate one’s understanding of the Christian faith.
The Bible study runs approximately 90 minutes--comprised of a 30-minute video presentation and discussion following. The study is held on Tuesdays, and there are two sessions participants can choose from: the morning session starts at 9:15am, the evening session starts at 7:15pm. Both cover the same weekly material. The series runs for 10 weeks from Tuesday, February 1st through Tuesday, April 5th. A workbook for the series can be purchased on Ascension Press at: https://ascensionpress.com/
